Text revealing glow effect in flash

In this Macromedia Flash tutorial I will show you how to make a stylish text glow effect in just a few easy steps.

1.
First start with an empty stage, make the background color black.

Now type in the text you want to add this effect to, and make it a gray color.

2.
In the layers panel lock the text layer so we don't mess something up in it, now make another layer beneath it.

3.
With the rectangle tool drag out as shown below and give it a gradient from gray to white then back to gray, rotate it a bit so its in an angle as shown below.

Right click and convert the rectangle to a movie clip.

5.
Place the rectangle to the left of the stage, for both layers make a new keyframe at frame 20, now drag the rectangle to the right.

6.
In the timeline right click between frame 1 and 20 for the layer containing the rectangle, and create a motion tween.
